cool results. After the second world war millions of Germans from Prussia, Silesia and Pomerania,.. were relocated to West Germany. So balto-slavic dna is today present in all of germany and not just in East Germany. I live in North Germany and many if not most Germans here have some grandparents from South or historical East Germany. Generally there was much internal migration in Germany since the Middle ages which maybe explains why the Anglo-Saxon genetic element in Britain is closer to Danes and Dutch than to modern day North Germans

My German roots are (as far back as we know) from the area around Bad Schwalbach/Niedergladbach area + Ashkenazi who settled in Aschaffenburg.
My MDKA for my YDNA was the mayor of Niedergladbach and born around 1700.
The only complicating factor is that area (and records) got destroyed in the 30 Years War and some towns were repopulated with Walloon catholics after the Peace of Westphalia, so for all I know my roots are from there.

The closest surname I have to the above is Vossen, but my Vossens were from Liege and moved to Aachen in the 1800s; so probably not much to do with the Voss above.

This guy, Michael Eisenriegler, is mostly Austrian:

    http://michael.eisenriegler.at/micha...atives-finder/

Info about his genealogical ancestry (family tree):

Like most people who are into family research I’m always interested in finding new relatives and to get in touch with distant cousins. To make this easier I had my DNA tested on 23andme and on Ancestry DNA and also uploaded it to GEDmatch (Kit # M368955) as well as FTDNA. My full family tree is available on MyHeritage, please ask for access.

My paternal haplogroup is J2b2* (23andme), J-M172 (FTDNA)
My maternal haplogroup is H1 (23andme)

Here’s a list of family names of the last seven generations of my ancestors and the places they lived. The list is by far not complete yet, there are still some brick walls to overcome:

Another Austrian in DNA Land (he has ancestry from Carinthia and Styria):

I asked him whether he is ethnically Slovene (part of Carinthian Slovenes):

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carinthian_Slovenes

But he replied that he is German and not aware of any recent Slavic ancestry:

"No, I'm not a Carinthian Slovene. I sure turn out very Slavic in these tests and I very likely have a lot of (Alpine) Slavic ancestry further back. But I do not speak Slovene or any Slovene local Carinthian dialect nor do I have any known ancestors with Slovene surnames. Koroških just means Carinthian in slovene language, could be ethnic German or ethnic Slovene. And all my known ancestors are German-speakers from Carinthia and Styria."

I don't know his GEDmatch kit but I will ask him about his Eurogenes K13 results.

Here his puntDNAL K15 results (seems to be a "typical Austrian" based on this):
