So there are no Masłomęcz samples that have been analyzed? South Eastern Poland will be interesting to see!

I hope Vladimir Tagankin will also try to analyze those data and determine specific Y-DNA subclades (at least for R1a, if there are any).

    Care of AK.
Gravetto-Danubian is it your conversion? Thanks for that. Do you check some others also?

No, a friend (known around here as Brygian) did this with his own software. I think that's all he could download; but I'll double check .

Simple statistics. There are listed 51 Kowalewko genomes. But only 14 were possible to download, (why?) so the rest is not important from obvious reasons.

Out of 14, three are analyzed until now (21,42%).
    Every is of different subclade.

    Kow22 - G2a2b-CTS11324 (7,14% out of 14)
    Kow45 - I2a2-L35 (7,14% out of 14)
    Kow55 - I1a2a1a1d1a1a1b1 (7,14% out of 14)

So 78, 58% is left for hypothesis. What do you guess?

But if we have hypothetical Y-DNA proportions like in modern Poland, chance that in those three we find at least one R1a (not I or G) would be big. Of course still is smaller chance that those three analyzed were atypical for whole possible to analyze Kowalewko (14).

This study deals with comprehensive analysis of microorganisms accompanying human archaeological remains.
No R1a found so far in Iron Age samples - but perhaps someone can discover R1a-specific variants in microorganisms. No need to hurry up.
