    eurogenes steppe k10

David at eurogenes just recently released another analysis. This time focusing on seperating south-central asian frequencies from steppe(yamnaya)

    spreadsheet with analyzed populations.
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1809893991

I find it it interesting since it goes contrary to the results of previous admixture runs.

    Some things Ive observed:

-The lack of a proper neolithic proxy is inflating signalling of indo-european ancestry in groups of people who've had little contact with steppe people.
-The seperation between hindu-kush and steppe, drastically reduces steppe ancestry in south-central asia and iranian plateau.
-It seems to be a rather decent for europeans, but the hindu-kush is left uexplained.
-The yamnaya component is more ENF as result of filtering out ASI frequencies from it.

also the most nerdy part, will we get an opportunity to run our own data?

Very interesting! Isn't the calculator a bit noisy?

It's not a calculator per say. It's directly from admixture. Calculators are third party programs based on admixture. But yes, in som populations it is. Like Mayans.

    anyway thread open for discussion.

Oh right, the reason I pointed that out was because some populations were scoring few percentages for oceanian, sub Saharan etc compared to the k9

The Mayan Indians really do have some European and West African admixture, if that's what you mean.

I have always considered that the northern edge of the mountain barrier of central Asia surely is more likely to have been a refuge for people from the north in the LGM and therefore there could have been an ANE element

David sent me the calculator, you can download it for use with R here:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-X...ew?usp=sharing

I'll be running all the kits people sent me through it and add them to the spreadsheet. It might take a while. If you sent me your data to run in the other ANI K14 in the last few hours, it might be a while until I get to it, but I'll add them to both spreadsheets. In the meantime I'll share that calculator as well if people want to run it themselves, just PM me.

I'll post a datasheet for use with 4-Ancestors Oracle after that.
