IDK if I'm missing something or not, that's what's in my folder
I think the input/output files should be .csv, not .txt

Still get the same error. Did you manage to make it work using a .csv file? I think it is supposed to be a txt file since the instructions said enter:
    getMonte(‘input.txt’,’target.txt’)

I tried with the csv files, but didn't work either.

The issue was that i used ' (like instructed), instead of ".
    For those wondering, use getMonte("input.csv","target.csv")
    BTW. I got this:

I think you need to put a space after the comma. Use this: getMonte("input.csv", "target.csv") instead of: getMonte("input.csv","target.csv")

So out of it I got at
    distance%=0 / distance=0
    Bosnia 27.6%
    Croatia 24.9%
    Norway 23.9%
    Romanian 23.6%
Is that correct or am I still on the wrong track? Is it an error that I got distance at 0 or is it just because I selected pop. that makes sense being i'm half-Romanian and half-Norwegian?

Nope, there is an error with the distance. It gives me 0 no matter what. I don't get why this is so hard for me to get right
Got it to work, if anyone needs help and is as thick as me. Ask and I'll help you

    Are you French or Dutch?
You should conform to the international notation: decimal points and comma as separator.
    Not: RN97;16.09;31.12;0.27;0;0.34;0;52.18
    but: RN97,16.09,31.12,0.27,0,0.34,0,52.18
Beware that last line should be empty.

separation is with commas, not semicolon. You can simply go to Replace All and substitue semicolon for comma.

I'm half-Romanian and half-Norwegian. The calc. gave me Croats, Bosnia and Austria as closest. BTW the reason it didn't work was due to me using actual logic and separating data and numbers with columns instead of commas and putting it all in one column. It does work now, got it to work.

Hi Onur, sorry I just read your answer, which I was interested in is a proportion with ancient DNA that maybe include some samples, I tried using it but it does not work and it's not obvious to figure out where it is wrong.
