Wonderful! I have already obtained the account custodian's permission, and have gotten an assurance from FTDNA that enough DNA sample is available without new cheek swabs. "There is definitely a large volume of sample remaining..." Thus, even if we assume that the current discount sale will cause a temporary backlog of orders, test results should arrive long before autumn.

I have now ordered the Big Y for #109663 on a "pay later" basis. The simplest way to pay is to make a credit card contribution to the Polish Project, with the note "Big Y for #109663". Although I will check our project fund frequently, it couldn't hurt to send me a PM after you make the contribution. Luckily, contributions show up in the project fund almost immediately.

    Thank you!

I have now paid for the test. Results should arrive in about 2 months, considering the likely backlog due to the discount sale.

    Jean,

You might consider a book signing at Festival Interceltique de Lorient.
With over 700,000 visitors, a captive audience so to speak.

Very good idea indeed!! besides the show is wonderful and the atmosphere very 'celtic-friendly'.

The new book is on the Anglo-Saxons. Like Blood of the Celts, it takes the story back into deep prehistory (mammoth-hunters!), before moving forward through the Indo-Europeans into one particular strand of Indo-European. In this case it is the Germani, rather than the Celts. See http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthre...ns-of-Germanic . But once I reach the point where the Germani spread in the Post-Roman period, then my focus will be on those who reached Britain. So I am afraid that the Flemish will not get much of a mention. Sorry!

I mention the event in Blood of the Celts, pp. 197-8, with picture. So they got a bit of free advertising. Not that they need it. It has been very successful. You are not the first to urge me to go.

No problem Jean! Since I'm R-U152-L2, I was already pleased with your two previous books. The Anglo-Saxons are not my thing ......

Big Y results for #109663 of Poland (the early offshoot of L238) arrived on May 24. I have now submitted his BAM file to YFull, who has verified the file's validity. Complete analysis should take a month or two. Thank you again, JeanM, for your generous support of this research!
