Wow! You come from a very ancient lineage of people who I think of as the ultimate survivors! They've weathered some nasty stuff over the last millenium, including medieval climate change, invasions by proto-Navajos & Spanish Conquistadors. Some anthropologists think your people are the descendants of the ancient Cliff Dwellers and may have even been the root of the Aztecs who conquered central Mexico. I'm very impressed by what they accomplished and am glad their genes live on in you. Have you had your DNA tested?

I was told we are of the people of the cliff houses. Yes I've had very limited testing.

Ironically, it turns out that Sir Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and the "Kingmaker" is my 17th great uncle. My choice of Warwick as my login was purely coincidental, as I had done that years ago.

One other fun trivia non-blood relation (found via Geni.com).

It's a relation with Kačić family, one of the most important families in the history of Croatia.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kačić_noble_family

    Quote from Wikipedia:
The Kačić family was one of the most influential Croatian noble families, and was one of the Croatian "twelve noble tribes" described in the Pacta conventa (12th century) and Supetar Cartulary (11 th and 12th century). The historical sources refer to members of this family as nobles in the area of the Luka županija in the Zadar-Biograd hinterland (12th–16th centuries), as the lords (knezes) of Omiš (12th and 13th centuries), and as the lords of the Makarska Riviera (15th and 16th centuries). Another prominent branch of the family was part of the Hungarian nobility.

Family members of the Omiš branch were known for piracy in the Adriatic Sea...
    Let's stop there.

Note, there's great possibility that this relation is real, but it is not known because of records scarcity. But, let's keep it in trivia area (for now).

This relation is to the earliest Kačić known, born 1065. or later:

Khadzik (Kačić) is your first cousin twice removed's wife's uncle's wife's third great aunt's husband's 15th great grandfather.
